We rented this room for aurora tourism due to its great location downtown. James went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make our trip a big success! Everything about our experience was great. We stayed in Room 4, the one with the private bathroom with jacuzzi tub, and I definitely recommend it. The shared kitchen is roomy and has everything you need to cook full meals. When we got to Yellowknife, we did not understand that we needed to plug our rental car in overnight due to the freezing temperatures. James clearly mentioned in his listing that electrified parking needed to be reserved in advance (the spot was already taken), yet he was able to make some extra space for us and run an extension cable in our time of need. This was a life saver - we're not sure what we would have done without James' help. As a final note, I just wanted to mention that the inside of the place is kept spotlessly clean. I have a mold allergy and am also kind of a clean freak, and everything is kept so clean that it's hard to believe it's lived in. Thank you so much, James!

Pretty close to everything, post, grocery store, museum, tourist center, banks James is so friendly but won’t interrupt you when you’re staying here He just come and keep everything tidy! Wonderful room to stay, queen size and soft bed help you sleep well The coded lock make you feel safe when you’re out No But the shower is a bit small, but it’s not a big deal The water pressure is great, so it was still a very comfortable show

We were in room 4 that has a private bathroom, but is located outside the bedroom. The porch area off the bedroom and where the door is for our entrance, was very handy for leaving coats, boots, etc. There is a washing machine and dryer to use (bring your own soap or you can purchase on site). The shared kitchen is full size, with all you need, and a dining area alongside. Coffee machine, kettle, full size fridge (you can use along with the other 3 rooms.). Others were cooking full on meals - we didn't. Hot water in shower was almost instant. The bathroom has a large jacuzzi bath tub - but I didn't want to use and waste all that hot water.... The shower is over the bath so not ideal if you have issues stepping in and out. We were surprised how great the location. Coffee shop about 200m away and supermarket 2/3 blocks away. Not all tour companies will pick up from non-hotels but ours did (NWT Destinaions) We were in Yellowknife when it was colder than usual. The house is centrally heated, and as bed 4 is on the lower level (and a larger room) they gave us an oil colum heater which helped to keep the room at a good temperature (and we are from the tropical part of Australia). Cleaner was in every day and place was spotless, even the owners came by to check on us all. We were very pleased we chose this accommodation.

The beddings are super comfy. It feels very homy like your own home. I don't see anything negative during my stay. In fact, I was pleased to have met personally Ann, who along with James, are very approachable, humble, and dedicated owners of the property. This home is strategically accessible to all essentials in the very heart of downtown Yellowknife (church, banks, vity hall, park, supermarket, bars and restaurant, etc).

Very well positioned near city center comfortable and clean house great shared kitchen. Japanese toilets a luxury! And we managed to see Northern lights less than 300m.away! Upstairs shower is very tiny...but we still had a great time
